Benefits of Intuitive Guided Massage Program
Massage therapy should be viewed as a program - more than just a single session. A Massage Therapy Program will offer improvements in your horse's athletic performance and overall well-being.

Through careful observation of movement and intuitive communication with the horse, problem areas will be identified and targeted. Barb will employ the massage, myofascial release and energy techniques that offer the fastest and safest improvements. In partnership with traditional veterinarians and chiropractors, massage and energy therapies can enhance the benefits of traditional treatments.
Most programs involve 2-4 massage sessions, Reiki energy healing, interaction with other professionals (veterinarian, chiropractor, etc) and an educational session with the owner in order to teach the owner to maintain the improvements.
Improving the flexibility, strength and suppleness of the soft tissue will bring out the best in your horse.
Intuitive Guided Massage Can Help with:
Every horse can benefit from massage. Massage increases blood flow to the tissue. Blood carries nutrients to the tissues and carries away toxins and waste products.
Many of the horses who receive massage have therapeutic goals of:
- Improved athletic performance, including improved dressage scores, better form over fences, faster times, etc.
- Promotes healing of injuries by improving blood flow to all parts of the body
- Increased flexibility and range of motion to promote a better, safer way of going
- Relaxation and stress reduction to improve overall well-being and help in healing
- Releases endorphins - the body's own pain killers
- Prevention of atrophy of muscles not currently being used.
Barb uses her unique combination of skills to compliment massage/myofascial release with intuitive communication and energy healing to gain the fastest, most targeted improvement in the horse. She works to compliment athletic training, eastern and western medicine and educate horse owners for both immediate and long-term improvements in performance and overall wellness.
